Hi! I've decided to get video card, but I'm not sure if this card is a PCI-E card. The card:
NVIDIA GEFORCE 560Ti GRAPHICS CARD DIRECTX11 16X 1GB GDDR5 3D VISION SLI PHYSX
What I can see of the picture is the hook extension, and I'm guessing that 16X means that it's PCI-E X16 card. As you can tell, I'm a "real expert" on video cards. What I've looked up is that 1X and 16X mean the size of the card and has nothing to do with performance. I have an ASUS F2 A55-MK board and it has both the 1X and the 16X slots. I'm not a gamer, but I'd like better video than the onboard video. I'm running Windows7 Ultimate, and I'm thinking of dual booting with Ubuntu, so I'd like to use the better video they can provide. For instance, if I bring up free cell in W7, it gives me a message that I don't have graphics acceleration, but it'll try to play it. By the way, is this a decent card? Also, can I use a 2.0 X16 card? Any and all responses will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
