Can't find my own wireless network on my laptop, but everywhere else I can

Please, after a stormy night when the lights went out here in Japan, my laptopt with windows vista lost connection to my wi-fi. I am able to find my wi-fi anywhere else (iphone, ipad, other computers) but this laptop won't find it. It finds many others and connects to others, but not my home network!
Please help! Specially because everything is in Japanese too! Argh!
