I had occasion to access my startup folder and discovered ProgramData folder not showing in file explorer. I assumed I needed to change folder options to show hidden files. To my surprise, folder options was already configured to show hidden files... Screen shot attached.
I cycled through a couple times of resetting the option and nothing changed. I can access the desired folder using Run command, but I'd sure like to know why the folder is not showing up in explorer.
Tried unchecking "Hide protected operating system files", clicked "Apply" and "OK" and, of course, one gets the warning about harming the OS. Still no joy on the missing folder. Opened folder options again and that option was checked again
Maybe I'll try it in Safe Mode?
Thoughts or suggestions????
