ok, let me start by saying I am NOT a technical person at all. I bought a Toshiba laptop recently and connected to a public wifi as I don't have home internet yet. (this is not the laptop I am using right now it is a friend's home computer).
No matter what network I am trying to connect to now, I get "limited" under the wifi screen...whether I have a security key or whether I am trying to use an open hotspot like at a fast food joint or something.
the only reason I know to post this ipconfig/all thing is from another forum question on this site. here's what I got when I did that:
