Tech Support Guy System Info Utility version 1.0.0.2
OS Version: Microsoft Windows 7 Professional, Service Pack 1, 64 bit
Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM)2 CPU T7200 @ 2.00GHz, Intel64 Family 6 Model 15 Stepping 6
Processor Count: 2
RAM: 2046 Mb
Graphics Card: ATI Mobility Radeon X1400, 128 Mb
Hard Drives: C: Total - 305142 MB, Free - 208479 MB;
Motherboard: LENOVO, 8743CTO
Antivirus: None
The following problems occurred before deinstalling AVG, which I did in case it was causing the issues below:
1) Tried to reinstall FireFox and I receive the following message: "7-ZIP, Cannot create temp folder archive."
2) Tried to install Dropbox and I receive the following message: "NCIS Error, Error writing temporary file. Make sure your temp folder is valid."
3) Five of my fourteen desktop icons are covered with a rectangular white icon (within which displays six tiny icons or symbols). RebuildIcons I installed on my desktop and followed the commands after answering "Y" to restart Windows, temporarily the the five icons are restored to their original display, but then the procedure aborts, and the white overlay icons reappear.
I was duped into purchasing RegCure Pro. Installed it, ran it, and it did nothing to correct the above issues.
After running Malwarebytes Anti-Malware today it displayed the following:
Malwarebytes Anti-Malware 1.75.0.1300
