PS/2 and USB keyboards do not operate in Windows 7, works in BIOS

For the past two days, keyboards do not seem to be operating on my Windows 7 64-bit computer. I tried removing a lingering "Kaspersky Anti-Virus Technical Preview" program by using a Kaspersky Registry remover, and upon restart, my keyboard stopped working in Windows.

It should also be noted that I also uninstalled Norton Security Suite right before the restart as well. I fear the main culprit is the registry remover removing necessary registry keys.

I have tried to do a System Restore to a prior point and that failed. And because my restore points are automatic, I no longer have a point from prior to the incident. I ran a Norton virus scan overnight and it failed to detect any viruses.

Upon examining the device manager, I found that the PS/2 keyboard displayed a Code 10 error. I tried plugging in a USB keyboard and there was no error associated with it. However, the USB keyboard also worked in BIOS and not Windows, but the volume controls on the USB keyboard actually worked.

I had device manager re-install the PS/2 drivers and it did nothing. I also updated my chipset drivers and that did nothing.

My motherboard is a Gigabyte USB-3 x58.
