I have Windows XP.
My internet provider - CenturyLink was down for a day. When it finally came back on, I am noticing a huge delay in getting internet up.
I have a Google Chrome icon which the repairman installed for me and which is on my desktop. Before, I would just click on that, and seconds later, internet (Google page) comes on.
Now, I have to click and click and click, and sometimes even go to START/Internet/Google Chrome to get something.
What's happening, can someone please explain?
But once I get it running, it's very fast and I like it.
It's just getting it started whenever I first turn on the computer.
Please help with your opinion?
I am not very computer-savvy, as you can tell.
Thank you.
PS - I called CenturyLink and asked for their help, all they could tell me was to "delete" my GoogleChrome icon from my desktop and drag "Internet" from my Start page which I did.
When I turned on computer this pm, the delay isn't quite as long but it isn't as fast as before. Please help?
