Hey guys! I plan on building a high end gaming pc that will run anything with no problem. Yet, I have encountered 2 problems. I want to know two things. First of all here is my build...
Intel Core i7 4770k $340
Asus Sabertooth z87 $250
Evga Superclocked w/ ACX cooling geforce gtx 770 $420
Corsair dominator platinum 8gb (2 x 4gb) $125
Western Digital WD Black 1 TB $95
NZXT Phantom $120
ASUS 24X DVD Burner $27
CORSAIR HX Series HX1050 (1050 watts) $220
Microsoft Windows 8 Professional $140
COOLER MASTER Seidon 120XL Water CPU Cooler $74
Asus VK278Q Black 27" 1920x1080 2ms $295
Total = $2006 ( -$100 with deal :))
So my two main concerns are...
1. is it necessary to have the video card to be super clocked? I may or may not overclock (more likely not) if that will make a difference.
2. is the power supply overkill? It will supply 1050 watts which seems like a lot! Anyone can recommend one but it must be modular!
If anyone has any tips on lowering the price that will be greatly appreciated. I know currently that Newegg has a deal with the cpu and motherboard combo with -$100 (an amazing deal!!!) so try not to change those two.
